You will need to bring the following supplies with you to class:

• 12’ Paper Trimmer
• Scissors
• Exacto-knife
• Metal edged ruler
• Cutting mat
• Adhesive (dry)
• Liquid glue (Karen recommends Zip-Dry)
• Mini Glue Dots
• Standard size hole punch
• Corner rounder
• Paper piercer
• Needle with wide eye
• Stapler & staples
• Pencil
• Black Fine Tip American Crafts Slick Writer or EK Photo Sig. Pen
• 2 12x12 page protectors
• Foam Paint Brush
• Acrylic paint one or two of the following colors: pink, light blue, light green or orange

Optional Supplies:

• Photo Corner Punch by EK: RSNAPS003
• Date stamp by Just-Rite
• Black Staz-On ink pad
• Bone folder or scoring blade for trimmer
• Rub-On tool

You WILL NEED to bring the following photos/memorabilia with you to class:

• Ten 4x6 photos (vertical) of things that make you happy
• A small stack of 8.5x11 papers: artwork/homework/genealogy/paperwork, ect.
• One 4x6 photo (horizontal) that goes with the art/homework/journaling/genealogy paper work that you choose to go inside the file folder. Example, if you were including your son’s artwork, you would bring a horizontal 4x6 pic of your son.

*if you do not have these items or pictures, you can add them later at anytime.

I love “Interactive Scrapbooking” (scrapbooking layouts with envelopes, pockets, albums, customized page protectors, cards, flaps, etc.)…it’s my favorite kind of scrapbooking.  And wherever I teach, the interactive style layouts that I show in class seem to be the layouts that the students are most drawn to and have the most questions about.

So even though I’ve taught classes on Interactive Scrapbooking before, I’m doing it again.  I want to expand upon the whole concept and take it to the next level.  It’s going to be fun.

You’ll be creating two single page interactive layouts (you get to choose your own color scheme), viewing tons of my own interactive layouts and take a whole bunch of product home with you (I’ve got more product in these kits than I’ve ever put in a class kit before).

We will be creating two layouts.  The first layout is entitled “Happiness is…” and will have a mini-album attached to it that will be filled with ten 4x6 photos of things that make you happy (ie. Kids playing at the beach, a cup of coffee, movie night, etc.).  The second layout has a file folder attached to it that will be used to store artwork/homework from one of your kids, genealogy paperwork, journaling or any other 8.5x11 papers that you choose.
